Where It All Started

Bubbie Toby immigrated to Canada from Poland during wartime. She and our grandfather, Harry, built their life together in a new country. They arrived with very little, but they carried strength, determination, and the belief that they could create something better for their family. In time, they welcomed two children: Ruth and Larry.

When Ruth and Larry were teenagers, Toby was left to raise them on her own after Harry became ill and passed away. She worked two or three jobs just to keep the household going. Her strength, her love, and her determination for her family carried them through the hardest years and became the foundation for the beautiful family she raised.

Along with her strength, Toby was funny, outgoing, and people simply loved being around her. She had a cool, easygoing way about her and accepted whatever life brought her way. Her warmth and spirit stayed with everyone who knew her, and her legacy continues to guide us today.

With Each Generation

Four generations of our family are captured in this photo, a moment that truly feels like home.

For generations our family has gathered every Friday night to end the week together. It began with our grandparents, continued with our mother, and today we keep the
tradition alive with our children and grandchildren.

What started as a simple family dinner is now a table of eighteen filled with laughter and a place to unwind,
and we know it will only grow.

This picture reminds us what tradition truly means. It reflects the closeness of our family, the love we share, and how blessed we are to continue this beautiful tradition.

Partners in Crime

Heather and Sharon have been partners in crime since they were little girls. Even though they were complete opposites, they grew up without a single real fight. Heather was always the sweet, gentle angel, while Sharon was the spirited one who kept their mother on her toes. When they started doing demos for Bubbie's Biscotti, people often compared them to Lucy and Ethel, and the nickname stuck.

Over the years, they have remained not only sisters but the closest of friends. Many people joke that they share one brain, and it's true that they finish each other's sentences, think alike, and hold the same values.

Above all, their bond is built on unwavering love and support. Their relationship is a beautiful reminder of the strength of sisterhood and a lifelong friendship that only grows deeper with time.

A Bit About Us

Heather and Sharon came together in business later in life, though their shared passions had connected them long before. Heather ran a clothing store with their father David, while Sharon built a career in sales with a mother and daughter matching clothing line. Their love of baking and cooking eventually brought them back to each other with a new idea.

In 2002 they took their grandmother’s cherished cinnamon crunch biscotti recipe and created a light, delicate but still crunchy biscotti using only the finest ingredients. They did not want to follow the traditional hard nut biscotti found in the marketplace. Instead, they created a nut free gourmet biscotti that felt true to their vision.

With just over one hundred pieces in hand, they walked into Pusateri’s on Avenue Road hoping to sell a few. To their surprise, the store bought every single one. In that moment they knew they had created something special.

What began with a single family recipe has grown into a beloved brand. Today Heather and Sharon are known as the ladies of Biscotti, celebrated not only for their delicious creations but for the family spirit behind every batch.

From our family kitchen to yours, we are honoured to share a taste of heritage made with pride and tradition in every bite.

Major Milestone

We’ve had many milestones over the years, but this one truly meant something special. One night, while driving along the Gardiner, we happened to look up and there it was, a large billboard above the highway featuring Bubbie’s Biscotti. It was a moment we’ll never forget. Thinking back to our small prep kitchen, where every batch was made with care, to now seeing our brand displayed in such a big way, felt almost unreal. We were excited, grateful, and a little emotional. It reminded us how far we’ve come and how thankful we are for everyone who has supported us along the way.

Our Journey Now

Our journey has moved into an exciting new chapter, yet everything we do remains guided by our grandmother’s legacy. The simple ingredients she trusted and the care she poured into every batch continue to inspire both Bubbie's Biscotti and Wellness Bites.

As we grow, we are exploring new flavours and fresh ideas that stay true to her spirit while bringing new energy to our brands. With products like Thins leading the way, we are excited to keep moving forward with creativity, quality, and the same honest approach that has been with us from the beginning
