Heather and Sharon are sisters and co-founders inspired by their grandmother, Toby, who immigrated to Canada from Poland during wartime and built a life rooted in resilience, family, and simple, honest cooking. Her warmth, strength, and love of gathering people around the table continue to guide everything they do.
In 2002, they brought her cherished cinnamon crunch biscotti recipe to life with a new vision. They set out to create a biscotti that was light, delicate, and still satisfyingly crunchy—without the hard, nut-filled texture of traditional biscotti. Using high-quality ingredients, they developed a nut-free gourmet biscotti that stayed true to their family’s values. With just over one hundred biscotti in hand, they walked into their first store—and every piece sold.
As the brand grew, so did their ideas. In 2016, Heather and Sharon launched Wellness Bites, creating light, crunchy, and wholesome snacks made from nuts, seeds, and grains—designed to satisfy sweet, salty, and crunchy cravings. Their Crispy Quinoa Brittle and Clusters are gluten-free, vegan, non-GMO, and plant-based, making them inclusive and widely loved.
Today, that same philosophy lives on in Thins—light, crispy, nut-free cookies made with care, creativity, and the same honest approach that started it all.
